Lake Manyara

Lake Manyara National Park is a scenic gem nestled at the base of the dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpment. Although compact, the park boasts a highly diverse landscape, transitioning from lush groundwater forest populated by baboons and blue monkeys to open acacia woodlands and the expansive, alkaline Lake Manyara. The park is famous for its unique tree-climbing lions, large herds of buffaloes, giraffes, and hippos at the Simba River, as well as thousands of pink flamingos that fringe the lake's shoreline.
